dozing (and dozy) criminal was caught with a truncheon and a seven-inch blade after taking a nap whilst waiting for a flight at Gatwick Airport, a court heard this week.
Lynton John Smith, 53, was spotted sleeping at the wheel of his car at the airport last month. Police approached vehicle, where they noticed a truncheon was sticking out from behind the seat. They searched the car and found a further weapon, a seven-inch blade, in the glove compartment.
